Chiropractor for the baby-WHY

Since our girl was very little - just a couple months old- I thought to myself that all these different positions we put her in car seat, baby chair, later high chair, let alone the whole birth experience, can't be good for her soft little bones and spine.Recently  I heard so much about the benefits of chiropractor for babies so we decided to start the chiro sessions for her. I was so excited about it. Many wonder if it's safe. My husband was very sceptical and did not like the idea of giving our child such a rough treatment (those dads.. so hard from outside and so soft inside:). But it is amazing how God just gently leads us in making a right decision. Recently we talked with one family who took their children to chiro since they were born. They told us how some children can start having seizures out of nowhere. Later on we met another lady who told us that she takes he kids to chiro to help to avoid seizures in future.

To be honest, I always take time to make a decision like that. I meditate on it, ask other people what was their experience, and then if it feels right I go ahead with it. As I was looking for our chiropractor I called one of the local medical practices and asked if they had experience with babies. They said that the youngest was 2 weeks old. They charge $55 for the first visit and $40 for each visit after that.
From what people say first you go every week, then every month, then once every 6 weeks and then once every three months. It can be expansive, but there are so many benefits to it! Here is why they say it is good for the child:

10 reasons parents take their children to see chiropractic may help:
  1. To maximise their child’s neural plasticity (brain and nerve development).
  2. To enhance their child’s overall health and wellbeing.
  3. To strengthen immunity and reduce the incidence of colds, ear-aches and general illness.
  4. To help with colic and Irritable Baby Syndrome.
  5. To help with asthma, breathing difficulties and allergies.
  6. To improve spinal posture.
  7. To improve their child’s ability to concentrate.
  8. To assist with behavioural disorders and enhance emotional wellbeing.
  9. To help alleviate digestive problems.
  10. To assist with bed-wetting and sleep issues.
