Montessori Christmas Shelves.

Here is a collection of activities from our Montessori Center. Lovely Montessori teachers kindly allowed me to share their ideas with you, beautiful readers.

Sensory trays with coloured rise or sunflower seeds. Sensory trays are very effective with children who have difficulties with processing sensory information. This type of activity soothes them down and provides great entertainment.

Sorting out colours for younger kids.

Sorting from largest to smallest with Russian type nesting dolls.

This activity with tree decorating teaches children to arrange decorations evenly on tree and practice design skills.

Fine motor and sensorial activity with orange and cloves.

Pilling needles of the pine tree branches. Fine motor and sensory experience.

This is my favourite. Learning to tie ribbons on a stick creating Christmas tree.

Fine motor activity with Christmas stamps.

Some Christmas crafts ideas...

Merry Christmas in different languages on the world.

Spooning with bells. Children practice hand control - they try to transfer bells without making a sound..

Nativity activities.

Nativity set for children. Children use figures from the set to retell Christmas story to each other.
And the classic, of course, making Christmas tree with the Red Rods Material.

We wish you a lot of fun and magic this Christmas Season!!!

  3. I love the Santa martrioshka dolls and the wooden nativity. I bet transferring bells without making a sound would be difficult for adults. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
